At the 2023 CIIE, Chevrolet Silverado EV was officially unveiled. The new vehicle is the brand's first pure electric pickup truck. It is built based on General Motors' Ultium platform. It uses a double-layer 24-module battery pack and integrates it into the underlying architecture. Currently, the Silverado pure electric pickup truck has been launched in the North American market in two versions: RST (Rally Sport Truck) and WT (Work Truck). The one on display this time is the RST version with more outstanding performance.
The appearance of Chevrolet SILVERADO EV still adopts the design of a traditional pickup truck. The front face is equipped with a closed grille, split headlights and through-type daytime running lights. The front trunk can be opened to provide abundant storage space, and it also supports customization of exclusive loading equipment.
In terms of interior, the high-end RST version is equipped with a 17-inch central control display screen, an 11-inch full LCD instrument, and a 14-inch head-up display system, and is equipped with a new Linux-based The software platform Ultifi supports fast and frequent software updates. The WT version will also have multiple screens, all showing a strong technological atmosphere.
In terms of power, the new car has a dual-motor four-wheel drive layout. The WT version has a maximum power of 380.25kW, a peak torque of 834N·m, a towing capacity of 8,000 pounds and a payload capacity of 1,200 pounds. The RST version has higher configuration and performance, such as four-wheel steering, adaptive air suspension, and SuperCruise driving assistance system that supports towing scenarios. When the Wide Open Watts mode is turned on, the new car’s maximum power can reach 562 kilowatts and its peak torque exceeds 1064 N·m.
In terms of energy replenishment, Silverado EV supports 350kW DC fast charging, and officials say it can add 100 miles (approximately 161km) of range in 10 minutes. Equipped with a discharge package, it can provide a total of 10.2kW of discharge capacity through 10 sockets, and can also charge other electric vehicles through a dedicated charging cable.
