2022 CIIE: Porsche Mission R concept car unveiled

At the 2022 CIIE, the Porsche Mission R concept car was officially unveiled. The new car is positioned as a pure electric racing car, which not only reflects Porsche’s vision for user racing sports, but also showcases Porsche’s latest research and development results in motors, batteries, aerodynamics and materials science.

In terms of styling, the Mission R concept car adopts Porsche's family-style design style. The vehicle's headlight design is exactly the same as the Porsche Taycan pure electric model, and the rear of the vehicle uses a through-type taillight design. However, as a racing car, the new car is equipped with an extremely aerodynamic sports package. The huge rear wing and lower spoiler are very exaggerated. In addition, the new car also uses central locking wheels, which are also exclusive equipment for competition.

The body of the Mission R concept car uses natural fiber reinforced plastic (NFRP) to a large extent, and its basic material is made from flax fibers extracted from agricultural crops. This ecological material is used in the front spoiler lip, diffuser and side skirts. Natural fiber-reinforced plastic is used extensively in the Mission R's interior, such as the inner door panels, rear bulkhead and seats.

The vehicle interior is driver-centered, with all vehicle information integrated into the LCD screen on the steering wheel, while the screen on the steering column is responsible for displaying the vehicle's lateral and rearward traffic information. The external camera is responsible for collecting.

In terms of power, the new car is equipped with dual motors and adopts four-wheel drive. The vehicle's output power reaches 800kW in qualifying mode, the acceleration time from 0-100km/h is only 2.5 seconds, and the top speed is 300km/h. In terms of battery, the new car is equipped with an 80kWh battery pack and uses 900V and Porsche Turbo charging technology. It only takes 15 minutes of pit stop time to charge the remaining power from 5% to 80%. The charging power can reach 340kW.
