A few days ago, we learned from the official that Shanghai Hesai Technology Co., Ltd.’s 360° lidar OT128 was officially released and unveiled at the 2024 German IAA exhibition. It is understood that it is used for L4 driverless driving, industrial robots, smart ports, and ADAS real-time monitoring. Value system development, etc.

According to the official introduction, OT128 shares the mature technical architecture of AT128, has a point frequency of 3.456 million points/second, a maximum detection distance of 230m, supports a minimum angular resolution of 0.1°, and a 360° field of view with full coverage without stitching.

In addition, compared with traditional 360° mechanical lidar, OT128 has achieved "significant improvement in production efficiency", with 66% fewer parts, 95% reduction in core production process time, and a core process automation rate of 90%+. Moreover, currently Yuanrong Qixing, WeRide Technology, and Xijing TechnologyAll have chosen OT128 lidar for cooperation, and the new products have been fully mass-produced in Hesai’s self-built factory.

Previously, Hesai Technology released its 2024 Q2 financial report. This quarter, Hesai Technology achieved revenue of 460 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 4.2%; the total global delivery volume of lidar was 86,526 units, a year-on-year increase of 66.1%; among which ADAS Global product delivery volume was 80,773 units, a year-on-year increase of 76.8%. The combined gross profit margin of ADAS business and Robotaxi business was 45.1%.
