BYD: Plans to build electric car factory in Europe

A few days ago, we learned from relevant channels that BYD executives stated in an interview that the construction of electric vehicle factories in Europe is currently being planned. Thanks to the booming global new energy vehicle market, BYD has now entered multiple markets around the world such as Europe, Japan, India, and Brazil.

In September, BYD announced that it would launch its three main new energy vehicle products, Han, Tang, and Yuan PLUS, in the European market. It has now entered the markets of Norway, the Netherlands, Sweden, and Germany, and will continue to expand into the UK and French market, so producing new energy vehicles in Europe is also a reasonable choice.

On December 6, BYD’s ATTO 3 in India officially rolled off the assembly line. The new car is produced using SKD assembly and has been officially released in the Indian market. The Chennai factory in India plans to complete the SKD assembly of 15,000 ATTO 3 and 2,000 new E6 in 2023 to meet the demand of the Indian market.

In addition, not long ago, BYD has been negotiating with the Bahia state government to acquire Ford's factory that ceased operations in January 2021, and BYD Chairman Wang Chuanfu also publicly stated: "In the future, we will start local production in Brazil. Chemical production.”
